With the end of school staring me in the face and looking at the prospect of lots of downtime as I travel this summer, I’ve decided to jumpstart some creative projects. Mostly the kind that involve rolling dice and pretending to be superheroes.
I’m currently sketching out write-ups for three different ideas.
- The Pilots of EDEN - a Mech rpg on a post-apoalyptic Earth using the FATE system (which I love) that I’ve been trying to get going with my Game Night homies. Hasn’t clicked the way I wanted, so I took a long look at it and made some tweaks.
- Dragon Fall - had an idea the other day where PCs were all young dragons exiled to live among humans as punishment for different infractions. Battling Boy meets Roswell with a healthy dose of s1 Legend of Korra. I’m really liking the way it’s coming out.
- Dungeon World Junior - Scavenged parts of DW and World of Dungeons to come up with playbooks for Elementary aged kids. Ran it with my daughter (7 yo.) and nephew (9 yo.) and they went absolute bananas. Needs a bit of polishing.
And I’ve started writing some more of my Endless Wastes project, so all in all, things are looking up. What do you think?
